Stroke Recovery Advocate was created as a result of my experience when my husband had a stroke. It’s now been just over a year and we’ve had quite a journey as we’ve navigated health care services and explored other options on our own. The bottom line is that you need to take control of the stroke recovery process and be your own advocate (hence our website name). This is a role for both the patient and their primary carer.
